Egerszegi Film Info
About the film
Krisztina Egerszegi (five times Olympic champion swimmer)
I have always considered her charming personality and unusual life as an athlete rather interesting and enticing. Naturally, her professional success and achievements also inspired me to make a documentary about her, or if you like, a portrait of her life.
Today she is considered one of the top athletes of her time, a shining star, a true champion. Her fantastic achievements have rightfully made her world-famous, however, her fans and the television viewers only know her on the surface, through sports events alone. The purpose and goal of my film is to gain an insight into the life of one of the greatest athletes of our small country, her professional sports career and her private life. I wish to show the world what it takes to achieve such amazing success in swimming.
